We get sad from time to time. Here's my list of the things I do when I'm sad.

1. Cry

Yes, you've read it correctly. Cry when you're sad. Not only will it make you feel better after but I've read: "Emotional tears have special health benefits. Biochemist and “tear expert” Dr. William Frey at the Ramsey Medical Center in Minneapolis discovered that reflex tears are 98% water, whereas emotional tears also contain stress hormones which get excreted from the body through crying." (https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/emotional-freedom/.../the-health-benefits-tears) So, when we are sad, let's cry out loud.

2. Know why you are sad

The thing is we have to know the exact reason why we are sad. I know that it's gonna make us sad a bit more but nonetheless, determining the root cause of being sad will help us not to trigger it again.

3. Eat

Also known as "stressed eating". Eating when we are sad makes us less sad. Though, there are times that we don't have the appetite to eat but somehow, this is what I do when I'm sad and it makes me feel better. I recommend eating the ones that you crave for or your "comfort food".

4. Laugh

Laughter is the best medicine. Just laugh or if you don't want to seem a bit crazy, watch a funny clip from YouTube, read funny tweets on Twitter or check out memes. Just find something that will make you laugh. No worries, I won't ever call you crazy if you laugh for no reason.

5. Call a friend

Nothing in this world can make you feel better with talking to your best friends. You could talk on so many things with your friends and you won't be afraid to express yourself to them since they are your best-est friends. Please call a friend that you think can relate, who's not busy (we don't want to disturb a friend at work, do we?), maybe you can also text them first and check the time before calling your friend (just to avoid misunderstanding).

6. Write

Curating and expressing your thoughts will ease everything out. It will help release the sadness that you have. From time to time I write my thoughts in my phone's "Notepad", this is my normal routine when I'm sad. I promise, it'll help a lot. And hey, you can message me for any sad thoughts.

7. Dance to your heart's content

Yes, I know that everyone of us ain't that comfortable in dancing but this one is for you to do when you are all alone and sad. Dancing to your favorite tunes will make you happy and it will also sweat you out. You can also exercise. Since exercise raises your body temperature, sweating associated with exercise is a sign that you're exerting yourself and gaining the many benefits that exercise has to offer.

8. Go to your happy place

What I meant with happy place is "(With possessive adjective) a place which a person associates with happiness, visualized as a means of reducing stress, calming down, etc.; (hence) a happy state of mind." (https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/happy_place) Moreover, go to place where you feel relaxed and calm, whether it be your favorite restaurant, the mall, your parents' or friends' house.

9. Go shopping

Shop til you drop! But never shop til you're broke. What I'm saying is buying the things you want will uplift your spirit because for me, If I shop or buy the things I want it makes me happy. And I'm not saying that you should spend your savings just to be less sad. Shop at your own risk.

10. Pray.

The best and the most effective way to do when you are sad is to pray to God. The thing that I usually do (especially when I'm worried) is read verses. Check out the image below:
